The default configuration of the DFLV valve is two-step opening. the first step is to open about 10% of the flow rate when the pilot solenoid valve is energised. The opening conditions requires that the external pressure is greater than the inlet pressure by 1.5bar. The second step, when the pressure difference between the front and back of the valve drops by about 1.25 bar, it will automatically fully open. This series can also be set to open in 1 step.
